26th June is National Writing Day! When was the last time you wrote a letter, penned a poem, kept a diary or even sent a postcard? National Writing Day is a day of celebration of all forms of writing, and we're joining in.
National Writing Day is led by First Story, an organisation which puts professional writers into secondary schools in low-income communities to work with the students to help them gain confidence and creativity in their writing ability. It's hoped that this will expand young people's horizons and aspirations and further support their learning and journeys into future employment.
We're giving out free Hull postcards to each of our customers throughout the day, but there's a catch: you must write it while you're in the shop, then we'll pop it in the post for you, the stamp is on us!
